PAR Proprietary Desktop Software

PAR is no longer selling its proprietary desktop software, with the exception of the Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI-SP) and related modules.

Why was this decision made?

PAR is committed to providing our customers with access to our assessments in ways that meet the needs and demands of modern-day practitioners. The convenience, popularity, and flexibility of PARiConnect, our online assessment platform, has far surpassed the usage and overall utility of our desktop software.

What if I am already using PAR software?

PAR is committed to providing a smooth transition for our existing software customers.

• Serial counters (where available for some software) will be sold through at least the 2024 calendar year.
• Existing software will be supported through at least the 2024 calendar year.
• Users of the PAI Software Portfolio (PAI-SP), the PAI Adolescent Software Portfolio (PAI-A SP) or any of the related PAI modules will experience no changes. You can continue using the software as you currently do. The software and serial counters will be readily available.

Software Alternatives on PARiConnect

Many of our tests available in software format can now be administered and/or scored online via PARiConnect. Registration is free and there are no subscription or annual fees. If you are new to PARiConnect, our helpful training videos and webinars can make you an expert in no time.

Software Alternatives and Discontinued Tests

Most of the PAR assessment tools that were available on software are still available in other formats. There are a few tests that are no longer available.
